The principle feature of HIERARCHICAL circuits is that one place(eg A) is mainly
connected to one place(eg B); and information is carried chain-like from one
place to another.  This makes for precision, and for vulnerability when the chain
is interrupted.  The special sensory and motor systems follow this pattern.
