The Nuclear Groups of the Hypothalamus are defined on the basis of their locations within the hypothalamus:

       1. The Anterior Hypothalamic Nuclei
       2. The Intermediate Nuclei
           (the ones above and around the 
           Tuber Cinereum)               
       3. The Posterior Hypothalamic Nuclei

Each of those three Groups has Medial and Lateral
       Nuclei with them.
