Background

The BMW Owners Club of San Diego, Inc. (BMWOCSD) was originally formed in 1970, and has been meeting and having fun riding BMW motorcycles on the roads of San Diego County and the world ever since.

In 2022, there was a pressing need to update a severely outdated website and fiscal system that had served the organization's more than 2,000 members for over half a century. Membership registration and fee collection were still handled manually with pencil and paper.

Modernization and Development

PingerWare took on the task of rebuilding the entire infrastructure of the non-profit organization, bringing it into the 21st century. Full stack development began in April 2025 and was completed by June 2025, finishing the entire project in just 3 months.

The new website is now live and the fiscal system is fully operational.

Features

All members have access to the website and can post rides and events, as well as share photos. Membership fees for both new and existing members are now processed online. Members receive timely email reminders about upcoming renewals. A newly designed RoadSigns digital magazine is published and distributed online to all members.

Since BMWOCSD is a non-profit 501(c) organization, its Board members can organize electronic meetings and manage all of their corporate needs through the website and its database.

The website now runs unattended, performing automatic backups to dedicated off-site servers in other locations. PingerWare has fulfilled its duties in bringing modern access controls and digital capabilities to its members in the 21st century.
